Australia is experiencing a resurgence of popularity of forged iron
furniture which originally appeared in the 1930's. Corso de' Fiori
employs artisan who are skilled in the ancient crafts of forging and handbeating to precise specifications.
Unlike cast iron, which can harbour inherent structural weaknesses,
the hammer forging of iron gives the delicate lines of our pieces the
strength to withstand heavy loads such a marble, glass and people.
To protect our iron furniture's aesthetic value, not to mention our
reputation, we either zinc galvanise or zinc dichromate every piece,
then electro-statically apply a hardwearing matt paint finish.
Glass and marble can be used as tops with polished or bevelled edges
to suit the style you are trying to achieve.
